Medical Care in Cyprus

Cyprus has both public (GESY) and private healthcare. The GESY public system has been significantly improved and is available to legal residents. Private hospitals like Limassol General and Nicosia Private are well-equipped. English-speaking doctors are widely available.

Indians in Cyprus

Cyprus has a small but established Indian community, particularly in Limassol and Nicosia. English is widely spoken, which makes integration significantly easier than other EU destinations. Indian restaurants and grocery stores are present in major towns.

What Happens to Your Indian Taxes

Cyprus has no inheritance tax and no wealth tax. New residents can benefit from a 50% income tax exemption on employment income for 10 years (if earning over €55,000). India and Cyprus have a DTAA. For passive income retirees, Cyprus is relatively tax-efficient.

Note: Tax situations vary based on your income structure and residency pattern. Work with a qualified tax advisor who understands both Indian and Cyprus tax law before making decisions.
